How to Get Help Enrolling in Services:

Chesapeake's staff is available to answer all your questions. We effectively work as your partner to assist you in making progress on your goals or those for your child. Please contact the intake department to inquire about therapy services or get assistance with insurance issues at 703-924-4160.

 

Do you need an evaluation?

Our therapists can assess your child's current level of development by using different methods and instruments. If intervention is recommended after the evaluation, outcomes/goals will be written to help achieve the appropriate level of functioning for your child.
  • Speech Therapy Evaluation
  • Physical Therapy Evaluation (You must have a prescription from your physician)
  • Occupational Therapy Evaluation

Do you already have an evaluation and are ready to start therapy?

Our therapists can start treatment by reviewing your current evaluation and recommendation then establish the goals to help your child achieve the appropriate level of functioning. We require that you send us the evaluation report before the first visit is scheduled.

 

Do you want supplemental Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) services for your child?

Our therapists can start treatment by using current goals or ay additional goals you may have. We able to consult with your current School therapist and EI therapist to help your child achieve the appropriate level of functioning.

To get started:

Contact our intake department to schedule an evaluation or treatment at 703-924-4160. If you want to use your insurance, consult your benefits package to determine if you need one of the following:

  • Physician Referral/Prescription
  • An Insurance Referral

With the appropriate referral, we will assist you in getting the visits authorized and filing for claims with your insurance carrier whenever possible. We encourage you to fully understand your benefit prior to initiating treatment.

It is always wise to consult with your Physician prior to the start of treatment.

If you prefer to pay privately or if your insurance plan does not cover services, Chesapeake Children's Therapy Center does have a self-pay program that you can enroll in. We offer discounted prepaid therapy packages. We accept personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards. Please call our intake department at 703-924-4160 for more information.
